Heya! I hope you got all the pop culture/literature heroes reference! You wanted the A- Team, you got it!:)

Dear readers from all over the world!
You cannot know this, but today everybody in my city is going CRAZY!
It’s the first day of the 6-day long celebration of CARNIVAL in Cologne.
That means that practically the whole town is totally out of control. The streets are full with people wearing costumes, singing songs in “Kölsch” (the Cologne dialect) and, uhm getting pretty drunk.
This shaky video gives a good impression on how things look if I (would)go outside.
On Monday there’s a big parade in the city where they throw candy (“Kamelle”) from the wagons.
Every year there the local carnival clubs also elect their special carnival cabinet consisting of a farmer, a prince and a virgin.
The picture below is from 2007 and the guy (it’s always a guy) representing the “virgin” is my dentist. This always makes me laugh when I’m there.

Apart from that I’m not such a big fan of celebrating carnival myself. Too many drunken men in horrible clown costumes trying to give you a kiss… That’s, uhm, just not my idea of fun…
But, anyhow, it’s always worth to see for tourists
Not sure who are the reliable outlaws… but that socket puppet gives me the goosebumps for some reason O_o Anyway~ Go! Go! Rescue Team, Go!
Where I lived before there were a kind of Carnival too by these season, though it had the plus of being watered with different artifacts, it was fun.
That’s some fine translation, lady!:D Love your sleeping Batman, too…XD
Thanks Cat! I’m glad you like it!!
@Dark Saturn: “Watered with different artifacts”. That sounds, uhm “interesting”!:)
By the way, there’s a good chance you might experience the return of the “reliable outlaws” to the screen. Look here for the old version, and here for the remake.
The show was veeeeery popular in the Germany in the 80ies. Don’t know what the rest of the world thought about it.^^
