Hot Hot Hot

Hot Hot Hot

Yeah, well, I might live in Germany, but it can still be very hot in here.
Usually, it’s a rainy country, so I shouldn’t complain too much. :)

I know I’ve got soooome readers in Australia and in New Zealand. How is it there, right now? Excuse my naive questions, but all that different countries popping up in my statistics visitor’s map makes my mind wander off. I’d wish I could see pics of all the different people in the world who are reading this comic right now. .
Have a beautiful day wherever you are!:) :D

I’m off in the Pacific Northwest, USA. Up by Seattle. we get lots of rain but it’s been unusually hot for the area lately. Which isn’t saying much. Before that I lived in Tucson, Arizona, smack in the middle of the desert. Now -that- was hot.

  2. Ellyn says:

It’s pretty cold down here in Tasmania, Australia, thanks for asking! I’ll send you up a pet kangaroo! ;)

  3. Lily says:

Hmm I am from Tel-Aviv , Israel . I think we had an effective temperature (That’s what you actually feel like, and factor in humidity ) of 38 degrees in shade .

There were places in Israel that reached about 45 degrees in shade. Now that’s unbearably hot. .

  4. MissHedgey says:

Awww, how cute yet sad. Fight the heat. It shall be over before you know it hopefully.

  5. Trik says:

Colder than I’d like, here in South Australia. Averaging around 17 degrees C during the day at the moment. I’m looking forward to spring!

  6. Dhelpra femër says:

you’ve got at least one reader here,in Brazil.(i’m brazilian)

  7. James Ratcliffe says:

It’s only about 34 here in the midwestern US… but the high humidity is killing me. Hope you get a cool front soon! Come oooooon Autumn, woo!!

  8. Lydia says:

Well, I’m not from Oz or New Zealand–I’m from Kansas, USA, but since you mentioned you’d like to see pics of your readers, here’s one of me: http://twitpic.com/s084h

Also, I’ll take rain over oppressive heat just about any day of the week.

  9. reynard61 says:

I’m in Indianapolis, which hit the low 90s (F). Luckily it rained in the mid-afternoon and sent the temp down to the mid-70s.

  10. Isabelle says:

I’m from Québec (Canada) and it’s been really hot here to! It was around 45 last week!
(I love your webcomic!! It’s always so fun to read! Keep up the good work :D )

Wow, guys, I’m SERIOUSLY impressed!!! Thank you so much for your comments!!!
@ Ellyn: Pet cangarooooo!!! Oh my oh my! He could be friends with Buttercup!!!
@Trik: 17 degrees is really colder than I thought! Man, I’d love to visit Australia&New Zealand once. Is there a comic scene or a popular Comic Con, so that I would have a lousy professional excuse to go there??
@James: Wow, haven’t heard from you in a while! Hope you&Steph are doing fine, even with humidity!:)
@Lydia: That’s a GORGEOUS pic. Looks like out of a fairy tale. Or “The Wizard Of Oz”! :D

Thank you guys again. Your comments are really motivating!!!

Hi Sarah – just found your comic through Shyeah! and I have to say I’m loving it! I’m actually an American living in Germany right now, so I get what you mean about the heat. I’m excited to go through the German strips (once I know what they say in English, it’s even funnier in German!). Hoping it will help me learn ein bisschen mehr Deutsch :)

BTW – friggin LOVE the pony. Too cute for words…

  13. Greg Bulmash says:

Here’s a way I beat the heat back when my wife was preganant with our second child. You might enjoy it.

Right now it’s over 100 F in the city where I grew up and it’s going to top out at 72 F in the city where I currently live.

  14. Dylan says:

I’m from mid-eastern Queensland, so I’m a lot farther north than our friends down in Tassie and South Australia. At the moment we sit around 22 to 25 degrees C during the day but when summer rolls around it’s normal for it to get up around 35 to 40.

  15. admin says:

@Shea: Wow, thanks for your kind words!! So, you can learn German through my comic? That means that my comic is now officially “edutainment”!!!:)
@Greg: Oh dear oh dear, being pregnant in this kind of heat isn’t amusing at all. I’m impressed by the Leonardo-like “construction” you made for her. :D
@ Dylan: Another Aussie!:D Well, forgive me my ignorance, but it is winter right now for you guys?

  16. Hybrid says:

I’ve been lurking and reading the comics for a long while now. <3 I must say that I very much enjoy you and your friends crazy adventures. So much fun. Your art is absolutely adorable and perfect for the comic, they always make me at least chuckle, and I always look forward to Mondays and Thursdays. :3

If you're curious- I live in south Florida, US. Currently visiting Los Angeles, California, US, to see my dad. If you ever thought about it, don't- never go to Florida! It's CRAZY hot there, with 100% humidity! D: At least LA has next to no humidity, is anywhere from 30-10 degrees (Fahrenheit) cooler, and.. I personally just enjoy CA more than FL. XD

  17. Parou says:

Yup Sarah, winter here in Oz. In Melbourne at the moment it is the season of 14-20 degree days and 0 to 12 deg nights. In north west Victoria it varies a bit more with lows of -4 and days of 18-25.
Just found your strip recently and have just about finished the archives! Definitely going onto my ‘must read’ webcomic list! Thanks for sharing your talent through your artwork.
